Nathan Damron

Software Engineer
I’m a software engineer who builds tools that work. From automating video workflows to shipping scalable cloud and mobile applications, I turn ideas into production-ready solutions. When I’m not coding, I compete internationally as a weightlifter.

Featured Projects

BarClip
An automated video editing application that reduces manual editing workflows from hours to minutes. I actively use this tool to efficiently produce social media content from weightlifting videos.
  • Reduces time for batch video processing from 1.5 hours to 15 minutes.
  • Developed a cloud-based MVP using React, .NET, Azure Functions, SQL, and SignalR, then pivoted to a local-processing architecture to reduce cloud costs and improve performance. (See the site below)
  • Implemented computer vision workflows using YOLOv8 (ONNX) and FFmpeg for automated frame extraction, detection, and video trimming.
  • Built a full end-to-end local workflow with .NET MAUI, integrating persistence with EF Core to automate YouTube content production.
  • Iterated from a personal project into a fully functional tool used daily.

SelfTalk
Professional startup work on a React Native mobile app with a .NET backend and Azure cloud architecture for personal self-reflection and mindfulness practices.
  • Cross-platform React Native + Expo with TypeScript
  • RESTful APIs in C# and .NET
  • xUnit unit testing
  • Azure Function microservice for audio processing bottleneck
  • Entra External ID (Azure AD B2C) for authentication
